Pin-Up Boys of Atlantic Shores

What brings together a group of semi-clad senior gentlemen, a city mayor, and Neptune - God of the Sea? The unveiling of one of the country's most hilarious and titillating charity fundraising calendars.

A new twist on pin-up girls, these calendar guys, ranging in age from 69 to 90, recently shed their inhibitions to bare it all (behind strategically placed props) for a 2010 "nearly nude" calendar, with sales benefiting their local Volunteer Rescue Squad.

A breast cancer survivor poses nude...

Breast cancer survivor who turned down Playboy as a young woman poses nude 30 years on to give others hope

As a young women she was invited to share her body with the world on the pages of Playboy.

Pamina Brassey was just 17 when she was approached in a restaurant by a recruiter for the magazine, but she chose not to take up the offer.

But now, more than 30 years later, she has gone topless - a brave decision given she has just emerged successfully from a fight with breast cancer.

The 49-year-old jewellery designer took the brave decision to pose with her mastectomy scars to give hope to other victims of the disease.

'The picture is an affirmation of life. It has restored my confidence and made me feel sexy again, says Ms Brassey, who is originally from but has lived in for 25 years.

It doesn't involve a calendar, but it's a story I thought you'd be interested in nonetheless. Click through for pictures.

Colorado Firefighters

Patrick Kramer knows he is going to take a lot of razzing from fellow firefighters when the 2010 Colorado Firefighter Calendar is debuted today.

Kramer, a firefighter engineer who appears in the calendar shirtless and hanging off the side of a train, said he’ll put up with the teasing in exchange for helping a charity.

The calendar is produced by Fired Up for Kids, a nonprofit that donates proceeds from calendar sales to The Children’s Hospital Burn Center.

A fantastic, glossy, A3 landscape calendar by the Norfolk Gliding Club, depicting stunning aircraft with smoldering curves - Next years must-have!
I can't find any charity listed, but I'm going to assume it benefits the gliding club itself. It's just so gosh-darned cute that I can't resist it.
