Hot to Trot

Hot to Trot
Fifteen Hot To Trot Equestriennes are about to lay bare the real beauty behind horse riding. They are mounting up wearing nothing but their smiles for a 2012 calendar in aid of an amazing charity, the British Trust For The Myelin Project, which funds research into Multiple Sclerosis and Leukodystrophy. The riders, from around the UK, are being shot in twelve beautiful locations from Thirsk to Warwickshire, to the shore of the Menai Strait.
See also Coventry Telegraph. Calendars will be £12 in the UK, £15 in Europe, £20 for the rest of us (includes postage).

The last calendar shoot has been done in Bury with Cherie and Hayley, and we expect the calendar to be printed and in the shops within the next few weeks. 61 glossy photos of 16 beautiful horse riders.

If anyone would like to order theirs online please do, at www.hottotrot.org

The printer isn't charging us to print the calendars so 100% of the price of the calendar goes to The Myelin Project for research.

Wondered if anyone had any advice to offer please. I'm being threatened with legal action over the Hot To Trot charity calendar.

We borrowed a horse from a stables in North Yorkshire to do a shoot for the calendar. The stables gave us one of their customers horses for an hour, after asking the owners permission to do so of course.

Almost twelve months on and the girl who owns the horse has just emailed me telling me not to use any of the photographs and to remove all photographs with her horse on from the website, Facebook, and the calendar, or she will take legal action against me! She's also been posting threatening messages on our facebook pages.

The calendar is being printed right now. All proceeds are going to Multiple Sclerosis and Leukodystrophy research.

What to do? There is no law that I know of saying you can't take photographs of animals, unless they are on the owners own private property, in which case you need the owners permission, but these were taken on land owned by the stables and anyway, she did give her permission in the first place.

The photos are at www.hottotrot.org/jessejames.htm
